Margaret McClelland, age 85 of Greenfield, IN died September 7, 2010, at Hancock Regional Hospital after a short illness with cancer. Margaret Ann was born at home in Antigo, WI on January 12, 1925, to parents Edward and Vernie Yonkers.She grew up in Soperton, WI where she played the french horn in the Wabeno High School band. As a young adult, she moved to Oak Park, IL where she met and later married Harold McClelland.Margaret was also affectionately known to friends and family as Peggy, Mom, Grandma, and Silly Grandma.Peggy was known for being caring, compassionate, fair and forgiving. She was best known though by all those she met for her wonderful sense of humor, thus the nickname Silly Grandma.She was a great fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers and loved to watch the football games on TV.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother DeWayne and half-sister Priscilla Ziemer.She will be greatly missed by her family members including her son, Thomas (Janet) McClelland of Greenfield, IN; daughter Barbara McClelland (Larry Berner) of Greenfield, IN; grandchildren Amy (Brian) Hochstetler of Bloomington, IN; Timothy McClelland of Bloomington, IN; Nikki Lendved of Greenfield, IN; and Marcus Lendved of Embarrass, WI; and great-grandchildren Caitlin and Kelsey Hochstetler; Tyler and Sara McClelland and sister Betty Boyles of Forest Park, IL.Margaret’s wishes were to have a private ceremony for family members that will be held in northern Wisconsin to celebrate her life and her passing.Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society at https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate/

    Gramma was the best in the world and I will miss her being around. I’m glad she’s at peace now and I know I’ll see her again later in my life. She was definitely a great one, and I know God is enjoying her presence in Heaven.
